Sony has confirmed all 11 games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium on 17 November 2026, and Rockstar is taking both of its flagship titles with it.
Grand Theft Auto V drops from the catalogue two days before GTA 6 launches on 19 November. Red Dead Redemption 2 goes at the same time.
If you haven’t started either yet, you’ve got until 17 November, we guess.
What’s leaving
The full list, confirmed via the Last Chance to Play section of PS Plus, is:
- Grand Theft Auto V (PS5, PS4),
- Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4),
- Football Manager 26 (PS5),
- The Talos Principle 2 (PS5),
- Cricket 24 (PS5, PS4),
- Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom (PS5, PS4, select regions),
- Rock of Ages 3: Make and Break (PS4),
- Hotshot Racing (PS4, select regions),
- Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair (PS4, select regions),
- Rapala Fishing Pro Series (PS4, select regions),
- Yet Another Zombie Defense HD (PS4, select regions) [1].
The two Rockstar titles are the big ones. GTA V first joined PS Plus Extra and Premium on 19 December 2023, meaning this is its third rotation on the service. Red Dead Redemption 2 joined on 21 May 2024 and is also on its third cycle.
The timing is not subtle
Sony has been pushing the removal hard. PS5 owners are receiving system notifications about the GTA V expiration date, with the message suggesting they revisit Los Santos before GTA 6 arrives. The same notification screen offers a button to pre-order GTA 6.
That is a pretty clean sales funnel. Pull the predecessor from the free tier two days before the sequel drops, and point every subscriber directly at the pre-order page.
The removal timing is also notable for what it tells you about how Rockstar treats subscription services generally. This is the fourth time GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have been pulled from either PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass. GTA V previously left Xbox Game Pass as well, and is not currently available there either.
In other words: Rockstar rotates. These games will almost certainly come back at some point. Just not while GTA 6 is new.
