Dell Technologies hosted a standout event this week, unveiling its latest AI PC portfolio. From sleek laptops to powerful desktops, the new lineup promises to level up both work and play.
So, what’s the big deal? Think:
Better displays
Smarter performance, and
AI-driven features to make life easier.
And, of course, there were some show-stopping monitors on display, too.
Dell changes PC lineup
This is all part of the PC range rebranding Dell Technologies announced at CES in January. Now, Dell confirmed this “brand unification” at the Dell Tech Rally held in Johannesburg.
Under these changes, Dell is doing away with the Latitude, XPS, and Inspiron models. These have all been rebranded as “Dell”, with (with standard, Pro and Pro Max versions).
To be clear, Dell is not scrapping it entirely and removing everything that made these models great. The tech you’ve come to know and trust from Dell will remain. Just the names have changed.
The Dell AI PC lineup is split into three clear categories:
Dell,
Dell Pro,
Dell Pro Max.
Which Dell PC to choose?
It doesn’t matter if you’re a multitasking pro, a creative powerhouse, or just someone who wants a reliable machine for working and browsing.
The lineup caters to everyone.
Dell: Ideal for everyday use with solid performance and clean design.
Dell Pro: Made for professionals who need durability and reliable productivity.
Dell Pro Max: High-performance machines designed for power users and creators handling demanding tasks like video rendering and AI model training.
So, if you want to use your laptop for work, studies, or just plain ol’ entertainment, the Dell lineup is for you.
For professional-grade productivity, you’ll need the Dell Pro. Meanwhile, Dell Pro Max is for anyone seeking maximum performance from their laptop.
Dell for… literally everything
Dell South Africa’s field product marketing manager, Morne Kroukamp, summed it up perfectly:
“Dell PCs are built to excel in every aspect of life, whether you’re playing, learning, or working.”
Dell 14 and Dell 16
He said users can power intensive workloads, “from animation to video rendering, run AI inferencing and fine-tune large language models while maintaining security and managing costs.”
Dell AI productivity
The new devices also pack some serious tech under the hood.
Think: Intel Core Ultra processors and AMD Ryzen options, complete with NPUs (Neural Processing Units) for enhanced AI capabilities.
For businesses, this means improved collaboration tools, faster data processing, and reliable security.
And for creators? Well, it means smoother video editing, accelerated AI tasks, and an overall boost in creative workflows.
Dell monitors
Dell also showed off its latest monitors, and they weren’t shy about making a statement.
The new lineup includes the world’s first enhanced IPS Black and QD-OLED panel technologies.
Highlights include:
Dell UltraSharp 32 and 27 4K Thunderbolt Hub Monitors: Designed for professionals, these offer sharp visuals and productivity perks with Thunderbolt 4 support.
Dell 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED Monitor: Vibrant colours, deep contrast, and a true cinematic experience – perfect for creatives and entertainment lovers.
Dell indeed went all-in on AI and user-friendly tech, no matter who you are or what you need from a laptop.
After this event (which was heaps of fun, by the way), it’s safe to say the future of computing is looking pretty bright. And a whole lot smarter.
