OPPO is strengthening its collaboration with Google, bringing Google Gemini AI directly into the heart of its upcoming Reno14 Series smartphones.
This marks a major step in OPPO’s vision to offer seamless, intuitive AI features that work across apps, services, and everyday use cases.
OPPO Reno14 Series x Gemini AI
OPPO earlier this month announced that Gemini will connect with key OPPO apps such as Notes, Calendar, and Clock.
This will allow users to perform complex actions through natural language prompts.
Simply press and hold the side button to activate Gemini, and you can ask it to summarise documents, extract recipes from YouTube, or create calendar events from travel bookings, all without leaving the chat.
A phone that gets you
Gemini’s multi-app journey support will let users complete more complex tasks with a single prompt, such as summarising key points from a video tutorial and saving them to Notes, or adding booking info directly into Calendar.
“Our mission at OPPO is to use AI to meaningfully empower our users, which we achieve through strategic partnerships like our collaboration with Google,” said Kai Tang, President of OPPO’s Software Engineering division.
“With the Reno14 Series, we are collaborating closely with Google to systematically integrate Google Gemini into OPPO core apps.”
OPPO Reno14: What to expect
The OPPO Reno14 series stands out by packing flagship-grade features into a more accessible, lightweight device.
With a 120Hz AMOLED display, a powerful Sony IMX890 main camera, up to 16GB RAM, and blazing-fast 80W charging, it balances everyday versatility with premium performance.
Add in built-in Gemini AI support and you’re looking at a smart, stylish device that punches above its price point, without feeling like a compromise.
The broader OPPO AI strategy
OPPO’s move comes as part of its broader AI roadmap, announced at MWC 2025, where it committed to delivering generative AI features to 100 million users by the end of 2025.
The Reno14 Series will be the first OPPO smartphones to ship with this level of Gemini integration, reinforcing the brand’s push to make AI experiences both accessible and useful, not just flashy or experimental.
With multimodal AI capabilities and close ties to Google’s ecosystem, OPPO is positioning the Reno14 Series as a step toward the AI-first smartphone future.
